What streaks do to your brain

Every checkmark releases a small dose of dopamine. String enough of them together and skipping a day starts to feel like breaking a chain — which most people don't want to do. That's not manipulation, that's just how habits form.

Why goals alone fail

A goal like 'lose 20 pounds' lives 6 months in the future. Motivation to hit it lives today. Streaks bridge that gap: today's workout matters because it protects a chain that's been growing for 40 days.

  • Weekly workout streak (3 sessions minimum).
